Wealden District Council
In recent years Edward Baden Relocations has completed numerous public sector relocation projects including ones for Wealden District Council. Edward Baden relocated the council from Eastbourne, Crowborough and old Hailsham offices to new Hailsham based offices in 2012. This project was a great success and was completed with minimum downtime to the business, causing minimal disruption. The relocation included a variety of different departments and employees and involved a lot of coordination and preparation to ensure that it was carried out in smooth style.
Edward Baden always takes extra care to ensure that building interiors are always fully protected and takes high quality precautions such as laying hardboard over access points and layered paper covers to protect door frames. We were also able to use our crate hire divison to best prepare and transport the office contents.
So with previous successful relocations organised by Edward Baden we were delighted to be approached by the council once again, due to the excellent service they had had with us in the past, to manage their upcoming elections project.
The project includes the transfer of equipment from Jarvis Brook to Uckfield and storage for 53 weeks. The project consisted of the relocation of stored polling station voting equipment from an address in Crowborough to our Edward Baden HQ where it was then distributed to approximately 85 polling station locations throughout East Sussex. The equipment was stored in Edward Baden’s purpose built self storage centre in Uckfield, Cube Self Storage.
