Our ISO 14001 Credentials
21st November 2011
At Edward Baden, we have just received our latest ISO 14001 Certificate. We are very proud of this achievement so would like to share with you what it means for us.
Firstly, we need to tell you what ISO 14001 is. Basically it involves being able to identify and control the environmental impact that our services have on the environment. It’s designed to improve our overall environmental performance by setting objectives and targets which we will strive to achieve using a strategic approach.
So now you know that ISO 14001 means that we are aware of our environmental impact, it’s time to tell you what it means to us as a business:
- It provides assurance to you, as a customer, that we are aware of our impact on the environment and strive to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.
- It means that we comply with all environmental regulations required.
- It means that we have a number of policies and plans in place which will help us to reduce the impact our business has on the environment.
- It offers you reassurance that we are a reputable company with environmental goals.
It’s important to note that we receive no government funding for this certificate and we gain nothing financially from any bodies in relation to our certification. The only reason we get involved in ISO 14001 is to make a commitment, as a business, to the environment.
