An Insight into What We Do: Our Work with the University of London

After each job, whether large or small, that we undertake, we ask our customers to provide us with some feedback both about the service they received and the company as a whole. This enables us to see what we are good at and work on any areas where we can improve service levels. We find this process very empowering and enlightening.

We’d like to take this opportunity to share with you some feedback we received from the Institute of Education at the University of London. As a little background information, the Institute of Education was established in 1902 with their goal being to ‘pursue excellence in education’. Since they started their work, the Institute of Education has grown to be a very large organisation so when they needed to relocate a total of fifty staff they needed to find a company who were up to the challenge. They chose Edward Baden.

The whole project was to span two years and not only required the relocation of staff members, but also masses of records which were a central part of their organisation. As well as the transportation of these items, storage was also required which involved meticulous record keeping to ensure everything was stored in an efficient manner so files could still easily be found and accessed as required.

Having prior experience of working for both public and law libraries, our team were undeterred by the amount of work and complexity involved in the project and everything was thoroughly taken into account during the detailed project delivery plan.

The project was successfully completed and the Support Service Manager at The Institute of Education, Naveed Khan said Edward Baden offered ‘good quality work’.
