Decommissioning and Recommissioning
Decommissioning prepares equipment for safe and secure transportation. At Edward Baden we can both decommission and recommission your desktops and all other associated equipment.
Firstly, all equipment is powered down. All power, data and network cables are then disconnected. Any dismantling required then takes place with all related items i.e. cables, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc. are packaged together. Associated equipment, including printers and scanners are also logged and identified at this stage. The equipment is then transported securely, moved to the correct place, unpacked and reconnected. The packing material is also discarded.
Recommissioning
Cabling will be installed by our IT Engineers using pre-agreed dedicated cable routes. Your relocated equipment will be assembled in its audited configuration and connected, which will include keyboard, mouse, monitor, network and peripherals.
The equipment will then be powered up followed by pre-planned procedures that are then carried out to ensure each item is functioning correctly. Once all work and testing is complete, the Control Sheet will be signed by our Engineer and the equipment passed over to you for final checks and sign off.
